Kirana lives in a futuristic world where words and actions are everything. Anything you say will be heard, everything you do will be known by the government. Kirana has always lived like this and see it as normal, untill her father is arrested for the attempted murder of a government official. Kirana is horrified and confused, she knows that her father would never try to kill someone, and has been framed. She starts investigating what happened that night, the more she digs the more buried secrets she finds out. Kirana slowly starts seeing her world in a new light, and it's not pretty, The government controls the publics' life with fear and laws. Freedom of speech is lost, and few people know it. Then her mother disappears, disappearances are common here but Kirana suspects that this wasn't a normal kidnapping. Kirana desperately searches for her mother and cowers the land for clues about her father all while still going to school and acting normal. Then Kirana discovers a devastating truth, the government knows that she knows and is going to take her away, Kirana goes into hiding with her best friend, but this doesn't stop Kirana from looking for her mother and father. After a few close calls with the police, Kirana was declared a criminal and a threat to the city. Things were starting to get desperate. Then in a fateful afternoon Kirana was kidnapped and taken hostage, she managed to escape and a chase ensued. With nowhere safe to go and nowhere to hide Kirana makes one last desperate attempt, She stands on a ledge of a building and tells the watching crowd everything she knows, the truth. The full and honest truth. The government is outraged and in the confusion and chaos, Kirana falls off the ledge, before she lands she disappears. Kirana wakes up to find she is three things: one, infamous and assumed dead. Two, the person who saved her is part of a secret organization called the Black Elk. Three, they are keeping her captive. Confused and sacred Kirana struggles to get back on her feet and try to save not only her parents and herself but also the city she loves. As Kirana tries to pick up the pieces of her life, her best friend, Samuel struggles to keep on top of the aftermath of Kirana's disappearance. The people of the city are woken up and are ready to come together and fight, Others refuse the truth of Kirana's words and join the side of the government. Samuel gathers the people who want to fight and starts an organization called Last Voice. Samuel refuses to believe Kirana is dead and starts a search of her while struggling to keep out the role of leadership. Kirana and Samuel will have to join forces if they want to make a permanent change in their world. The Last Voice of Mine was inspired by a different story me and my sister made, and from there Kirana's story grew.
